Sand Sculpture Festival
Saturday, June 29, 8 am to 3 pm
Grab your shovels and your friends and spend the day frolicking at the beach. Participation by all ages and skill levels in encouraged and spectators are welcome.
Best viewing time is Noon to 3pm, and a shuttle from Manila Park will be available.
Coastal Connections Summer Camp
July 15-19, 10 am to 4 pm
Open to ages 8-12, this summer camp will focus on natural diversity and stewardship of coastal ecosystems through hands-on exploration, games, songs and crafts. Scholarships are available, early drop off and late pick up options can be arranged.
200 ft Squid on South Spit
Over 900 elementary school students formed a giant Humboldt squid on the South Spit.
